Cheap, web-based CRM solution?

Q) I'm looking for a cheap web-based CRM solution that I and about 3 or 4 others can use for managing sponsorship / advertising relationships for a small club that I run. Something like Salesforce would be great, but I imagine that it is more than we want to spend. Any ideas? Thanks...

A) try contacting salesforce.com anyway and find out. they have a lot of community programs and do give deals to non-profits as well. you might also want to consider SugerCRM, NetSuite or others on the lists below. good luck.

Where can I find a source that would show me the CRM solution being used by each of the Fortune 1000?

A) The Internet Retailer's Top 500 Guide http://www.internetretailer.com/top500 includes a listing of the CRM vendors used by the top ecommerce sellers. It's not exactly the Fortune 1000 list, but these companies are also part of the Fortune 1000 (e.g. Amazon, Staples, Sears, etc.)

I want to source a cost effective CRM solution which could be used in sme organisation.?

A) there are a lot of CRM packages out there.. MSCRM is one of them.. although earlier versions are nothing more than glorified databases.. also they are resource intensive even on the clients. They may argue that they can use the webclient, but because of the images and graphics they show, it can be a pain to access using dial-up or accesing remotely.. Although I have to admit version 3 is promising, but still a it expensive.. If you want to try out if CRM is for you, try out freeware like sugarcrm or the demo version of MSCRM 3.0 .. ifit is really for you, other options would be PIVOTAL, Applix, and MSCRM

what is the best small business, hosted crm solution. why? needs to integrate with quickbooks.?

Q) looking for something that is simple to get started, easily integrates with quickbooks and outlook, provides lots of features such as tracking customer service incidents and email marketing campaigns, offers simple upload and download features via csv, is fairly customizable, and not expensive... less than $30 a month per user ideally. maybe 5 users max initially.

A) You won't be able to find this. Software companies simply won't release this information, becasue it's competitive information.

DO Vista OS Support CRM Software?

A) I would assume it will work. Vista did offered free beta versions one year prior to its release for testing. I found no mention of it at the CRM website. I'm sure they have experience any problems and have them resolved by now. A quick conversation with them over the phone will ease any worries I'm sure. Good Luck
